The area

Sant Josep de sa Talaia covers the entire south-west of Ibiza, from Cala Jondal and Sa Caleta round to Cala d'Hort and up into the hills behind Sant Agustí. It is the part of the island where the land does the most dramatic work — cliffs, pine, and the silhouette of Es Vedrà sitting offshore — and it holds the highest concentration of clifftop and sea-frontage villas anywhere in the Balearics.

Property here divides into two worlds. On the coast, contemporary houses in stone and lime render built to frame a single view, usually with guest pavilions, infinity terraces and direct or near-direct sea access. Inland, restored fincas on several hectares of almond and carob, where privacy rather than the horizon is the asset. Both attract international buyers who already know the island and are choosing a specific bay rather than a postcode.

This is the terrain our work was built for. Coastal Sant Josep needs aerial cinematography to be legible at all — from the ground you cannot read that a house holds a headland or that the next property is half a kilometre away. We fly early, before the sea breeze picks up and while the cliff faces still hold warm light, then use the ground coverage for the shaded interiors that keep these houses habitable in August.
